On the road to Emmaus Preacher: Richard Brown, on 01/06/2025, duration: 0:36 Just after the dramatic few days in Jerusalem when Jesus was put to death, two of his followers were leaving Jerusalem feeling let down and without hope. They were heading to Emmaus when they meet Jesus, although at that time they didn't recognise him. He walks with them and encourages them through his word, causing their hearts to burn once again. They invite Jesus to stay with them at which point he reveals himself to them. That whole encounter causes these two lost disciples to rejoin their story.
